Guys,

I've just renew my tintop insurance with flux.

Checking over the document and found the use type as simply "Commuting".

I would expect Social, Domestic and Pleasure Including Commutimg.

It implies to travel to and from work, which is of no use.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Not as you describe , but commonly these days commuting is listed as an "extra" over SDP

Just spoke with Flux "commuting" use implies social domestic and pleasure.

I have asked for that in writing :-)

I dont think it implies that any more. very specific extra on my tin top
And =hence me paying extra for "commuting" in the MK.
(Waste of money given the summer we did'nt have) :-(

You know I'd have considered going to work under "domestic" as you're not going for the effing fun of it, you're going in order to pay for the house!

Police have been known to ask small van drivers where they are headed. Usually this is in the morning or afternoon. If reply is to or from work, and insurance doesn't say 'commuting', you're done for no insurance!

This happened not too long ago to a guy down here in the south.

I drive a Transit with a couple of rows of seats, and I'm always going to or from the shops, if stopped.
