As title, any idea on easiest way in, or what not to do!!! Quick answer needed as wife stuck at school with kids and baby seat in the car!

There are no real 'tricks' to get into modern cars.
Either ring the AA, RAC, or a locksmith. They will either pick the lock with specialist tools or the AA / RAC often use inflating wedges to prize door
open.
Smash window and say some scrote did it last night.
Claim off insurance, glass excess about £50?
if not in AA or RAC, then do you know someone who is, they can nip round there and say they were in the car too?
smashed the rear qtr window, 4 year old son (not the guilty one) now being inserted through gap to retrieve keys from passenger seat
Mate of mine did that to his Saab. After all the annoyance of getting it sorted it would have been cheaper to put the window through. Just getting
it to the main dealer was a pain as the handbrake was on and the wheels at full lock. After 2 towtruck companies gave up we called a haulage firm in
to move it. They hooked it to a 7.5tonne flatbed with a winch, they started winching but reversed the lorry under the car instead of pulling the car
on the lorry. After a week at the main saab dealer they phone up and asked for permission to put the window through...... it would have been quicker
with a brick in the first place.

just looking on ebay and bloody main window is the cheaper glass!!
Assuming it's got remote locking and if you've got a spare key, you can call her on her mobile and press the spare plipper through the
mobile to unlock it. SWMBO saw this/heard about it the other day, and tried it on her own car with daughter.
Don't know if it will help in your case, but it's worth a try?

It could be a wind up but she swears it works. I just googled it and found
this on ehow, which I think is fairly trustworthy.
Anyway, it wouldn't cost much to see if it is true...

Since you don't have the spare key, do you know a friendly mechanic? One of my neighbours locked her key in her car and the guy who does MOTs and odd jobs on my seven came round with a set of TWOCing tools - thin flexible steel bars with a variety of hooks and holes and managed to open the door quite quickly. I was surprised, as it was an 08 Citroen C1 - quite a new design, so a little odd (and worrying) that an old fashioned approach would be able to open the door so quickly.
most just pull the top of the door from the roof hook the keys out with a hook and bend back after.
