No claims cannot be used twice, use it on your daily car. The kit insurance will be a specialist policy that does not use no claims or at least mine
is.
I'm 26 with a 2.0 Pinto MAC#1 and its 300 ish.

Does kit insurance work like commercial insurance with regards to no claims (Where they'll give it to you only on renewals and other companies
don't accept it)?
They normally take your motering history into account so the fact you've made no claims will work in your favour, I doubt you'll have much
luck before you turn 21 though.

just an idea, most places wont insure you until your 21, many are even 25.
my insurance is £700 on a 2.1 pinto indy, limited mileage of 4000, no ncb, 2 claims in the last 5 years and 3 points,
im 21, thats with adrian flux, theyve been quite helpfull too. strange thing with kit car is some of the ways you get discounts, i got a single driver
discount of 20%, in the past it has always gone down when i put my dad on it.
best of luck though, id think youll be paying around £700 which i wouldnt say is unreasonable for the performance.
away from cars, now cycling and building TT bikes

Under 21 does limit a bit, but it is possable.
- At 21 i insured myself with a 1.9 cvh westfeild for £550.
- 3k miles, agreed valuve of £4k. Including brakedown and legal.

The age will be a problem best to just get calling the specialists from a kit car mag. for me at 22/23 it was £500 on the R1 MNR and £700 on my 300bhp

thakns fr the replies very helpful i will give them a ring as i get nearer the finish line
ATM i seam to be just collecting lots of info
next i guess is the dash (i may still be 19 by the time i finish this )
my first insurance for a 1.1 205 was 1300
the next year 1000
then when i changed to a 1.8 mk2 golf they wanted 1500 but managed to get them down but if i was to put a miss before my name i get a 50% discount
would it be cheaper to have a sex change

If you've got evidence (renewal notice usually) and they don't accept it you're going to the wrong companies!
