Insurance (Adrian Flux)
Hi
Where do people recommend for insurance, i have just spoken to Adrian Flux and wanting £803 with £250 excess if paid up front, this seems too high in
my book as my Porsche 911.2 that i have just sold was only £450 on same criteria.
37 years old, no accidents claims or convictions, no NCB but 10+ claim free years on company car, live in low crime rate area in Scotland, are you all
paying that level of insurance???

I'm still with Flux (About 7 years), though always got other quotes....
I'm paying circa £200 for a 200hp Duratec Caterham with 5000 miles per year. (Age 46 with no points / claims)
Cheers
Ian

Yup, that sounds way high. I think I paid 270 last year for my BEC. I was going to ring around by the Flux quote was good enough for me to just
accept. Might ring around next month as it's due again and (in past experience) they ramp it up.

They dropped to £395 but wouldn't go any lower, was a long and painful call just to get a quote

Try then all and then play them off against each other. AF turned out to be the best for me.
Your NCB can only be used on one car at a time. I have 13 years NCB on my daily driver but they would apply it twice.

Ive went with Adrian Flux at £395 for time being as needed car on the road today, I'll be changing car once new build is through the IVA, but
there's currently an 8 week backlog at test centre.
So I'll get quotes from them all once I get new registration plate.
Thanks everyone for your information, just need to try and get my policy down to similar prices to some of you in future!!
