Fair enough, before my time, just thought that up until 73 black and silver plates were fitted then changed at the suffix letter change to the
reflective ones we have today.
the black & silver ones now add to the classic look and authenticity (assuming the car is a pre 73!) funny how different times change peoples
perception.

Yes, I'm having to scrape the memory bin here, but I certainly remember my father's new Mk2 Vitesse coming with reflective plates and that
was a G reg. Can't remember how long before that that reflective plates became virtually standard
