how to insure on laid up?
hi, recently tried insuring my kit (lots of boxes) as laid up insured. they say at footman james that without reg v5 or chassis no they cant do this

how i get a chassis no? make it up ?!?
im building an mk indy !! if that helps
if anyone can tell me how they managed to get around this id be very grateful

No, FJ do it as laid up insurance. I did mine before I had a chassis number by convincing them to accept the engine number as identification.

Mine were reluctant to do it but they eventually agreed to insure based on engine number until I got my chassis number.

try glynwood insurance had build up with them, now full comp agreed value 7000 for £129 tel 01543 675163
bec is best but going to try sabb 2.3 turbo mk

Adrian Flux provide build up insurance. Create your chassis number and quote this to them, just make sure it's the correct number of digits.

Yeah, but I didn't find them quite so competitive when it came to change to an on road policy!
