Creaking Ford Ka
Wifes Ka has started creaking on the drivers side, did both wishbones last year so am sure its not those,I think it coming from the strut tops and
I've heard that the strut top are prone to failure, how hard are they to fit?
As most bolts tend to shear off at the drop of a hat on this delightful little motor The car is a 2000 1.3 btw and the mot is due in July is
this creaking a failure??
Cheers
Rich

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Creaking wont be a failure.
They creak on the top strut bush. We solved my mates one for a bit with silicon lube.

as above creaking is ok, mine has done it for last few years... did the top strut isolators last mot, as there was play in the strut when it was
jacked up, not a bad job as long as you have spring compressors and a big rubber mallet to get the bottom of the strut and the hub seperated!
creaking still there after new rubbers put in, I presumed it was the roll bar bushes?

cousin used to do a simple test....
hose pipe under wheel arch for minute.
If it stopped creaking it was just dry bushes. If it didn't i needed looking at.
