Recomend an insurance company
Hi,
Kitcar is now ready to register for the road.
I need to sort out insurance. What companies would you recomend I get quotes from?
In case it helps. I am 28, male, over 10 years no claims, but assume not transferable, as used on my tintop. The car will be kept in a locked garage
(no real surprise) No car alarm.
Ballpark figures for cost, excess and details of agreed valuation would be greatly appreciated.
Why do it the easy way, when I can do things my way!

Adrian Flux couldn't value a box of smarties with a price tag on it but thats just my opinion.

I had 3 years with Flux at the best price could get anywhere for agreed value cover.
Only this year has 2gether been around taking many customers on price. (Myself included)

Avoid sureterm if possible, bunch of muppets. A close "friend" who has similar initals as me, (but isn`t me ) bought insurance, for
cover for SVA test.
Forgot to send cover note, so had to ring next day. It arrived on sva test day after "He" had left. When "He" got the note
cover started at 13:45 that day. "He told them it was a 8 am SVA! WTF!!!
"HE" was only stopped by the police for no plates. Luckily they were also a bunch of muppets, too busy trying to find faults to cover the
shame of their lack of knowledge of the law. "This windscreen is glued in place sir" (ur like 99% of all modern cars using propper PU
adhesive).
Then geting a refund was a pain further complicated by their stupidity.

2gether very good price wise but fully agree with twybrow check all the paper work twice and twice again. I found what you agree on the phone and what
turns up on your doorstep are totally different. 4 times I had to send my paperwork back and numerous long phone calls to sort it out. Sounds bad if
you are insuring with them for the first time but that was with my second year with them with the same car!!!!!!!!
Beware!!

Cheers for the advice. Will give them a call tomorrow.
How do you get to an agreed valuation? Receipts? I have bought quite a few things at autojumbles etc. so don't have receipts for everything.

No reciepts needed.
Just a set of photos to support "your" valuation of your car.
POrovided it's not too unrealistic that's it
