turbo sizing / experts

I have a supercharged rover k series that the charger ( geotec ) failed so i got a better TVS with inbuilt charge cooling of a V6 Audi
http://www.fourtitude.com/news/publish/Audi_News/article_4110.shtml
however it looks a bit too complicated to fit so before I chop a bank off it to reduce its size ( better to sell it complete )I was thinking maybe a remote turbo ( rear engine short exhaust ) I have seen a t25/28 hybrid spec as
Turbo Specification:
-Inlet: 2.25"
-Outlet: 2"
-Turbine: .48 A/R
-Compressor: .42 A/R
Oil Cool Type: Oil and Water Cooled
Turbo Max PSI: 25 PSI
Internal Wastegate: 8 PSI
I want approx 8-10 psi as i have 9.1 cr if i can custom fit downstream will this do ?
I dont understand anything about turbos
i have soft cams but more duration on ex however i can swop the camshafts over if ness .I run very little overlap and am restricted due to lack of valve pockets on my custom pistons
I have free flow exhaust but no bulkhead clearance hence wanting to go remote

You are running a low compression so are you sure that your current cam lift profile will make your valves interference?

yes the pistons are custom dished but they are also right into the head and proud of the block
very little clearance between the two

generally a standard camshaft will still work ok with turbo. so perhaps fit a standard exhaust cam back in.

a turbo cam (even on race applications) will generally have no more than 1mm lift @ TDC.

a stock road cam will usually have less than this so they can still be ok for turbo.

for turbo i would spec something like a GT25R turbo

something like:

compressor: 54mm wheel, trim 60, AR 0.80
turbine: 53mm wheel, trim 62, AR 0.64

this would generally produce up to maximum 260hp on 1.6 to 2litre engines, with good boost buildup. so good punch for its size, and not too laggy. the GT25s spool up much faster than normal T series, and are ceramic ball bearing turbos as standard, so much more durable. Gt turbos MUST use a restrictor. supply them with good clean oil and they go on forever.
