Will 13" Caterham R500 Wheels fit my indy r?

Does anyone know if R500 wheels will fit on the sierra hubs on my Indy R? I've got a set of the high spec calipers on the front and standard disks on the back.

Cheers

Iain

My Fiat has borrowed Caterham wheels at the minute, cannot recall if they were r400 or r500s..

I don't think so

Caterham make their own 8-spoke 13" and 10-spoke 15" wheels, and I'm pretty sure they're not CXRs.

They look different anyway, the spokes on the Caterham are straight, curved on CXRs aren't they?

As to fitting on the indy, I think some people struggle with the rear calipers with handbrake spring sticking out & fouling.

I got them on my mnr with a shortened spring. And they are very light.

Is shortening the spring easy to do?

Depends which r500. Some are Mike Barnby magnesium split rims. Very light (ive had a couple of sets) but need crack testing yearly tobe safe.

Regardless of brake clearance issues, don't cateringvans run different offset, so on a sierra donor based kit the wheels will stick out wider than they should?
