Young and female
Driver..... sorry
Friend of mine is 19, passed her test last month, pass plus this month.
Any suggestions for insurance companies.
I ran her details through my insurers for a diesel Rover 100, valued at 200 quid and it still came to £1100
Is this the going rate now for young drivers?
Cheers
John

Co-op (CIS) used to do good deals for young drivers.

Best quote my 18 year old son got (still on provisional) was from QUINN £300 cheaper than the rest.
Rover 100 1.1 Petrol
All seems OK so far.

If you can get a classic car such as a mini or morris minor. Me and a mate did and I've never paid over £800 for insurance, even when I was 18,
due to being able to use limited mileage classic policies.

I'll second CIS, I've been with them for 2 years now, not had to claim so don't know how they are on that side of things,
they've been just about the cheapest for me, only got one lower quote with 2 years no claims, but that company didn't include legal
cover.
My first year I went with Adrian Flux, 19 with a 1981 diesel Land Rover living in a the middle of nowhere with pass plus was about £900 TPFT.
Endsleigh, the student specialists, quoted me about £11000

My daughter got a good deal with Direct Line - quite surprised really as I didn't expect a mainstream insurer to be so competitive for young
drivers. She is just 19, now has 2 years ncb and is paying £300 for a 1977 mini - 998cc, no mods

Bell Direct was always good when I was younger.... not so now with the Grp20 cars.
An outside chance might be mceinsurance. I use them for my bike and car and they have beaten everything by a chunk. Will be trying them for the missus
car in January.

If you phone a company that seam to give u cheapest quote "forget" to tell them about the pass plus then they give you a quote then tell
them about the pass plus and they have too give you a lower quote (my old instructor told me that) play them at there own game.

Try (no joke) the NFU ,just insured my daughter
just 17 last week for Peugot 107. Fully comp,£250 excess for just under £400 on my wifes policy.Their excess charges seem to be a lost less than other
insurers and also much cheeper.
