Screen protector...
Afternoon folks,
I am trying to find a product that I can use a screen protector for my mobile phone, my RC trasnmitter LCD screen and possibly even my PDA screen etc.
I am sure I have heard of self adhesive films that you can buy and apply to the screen, so that if it gets scratched, you can just peel the film off,
and the screen is undamaged.
has anyone got any recommendations for such a product, or have I just dreamt about it?!! My mobile phone is a works one, and I have got in a bit of
trouble in the past for scratching the screen to hell before
Cheers,
Andy

Yes they exist. Have a look on ebay. No recomendation though. I think some people have used the sticky back plastic you use to cover books (take look
in WH smiths).

try a video game shop, they sell the stuff for protecting the screens of handheld games like the PSP.

DaveFJ, where did you find that video of my girlfriend?
Seriously though, they're quite a set of babalons and they want out!
Re: Screen protector, I think I now need one of the wipe clean variety...
Thanks,
Iain

That sounds a bit harsh, surely wear and tear is expected? Our lot can consider themselves lucky if we give a phone back after a years use still in
one piece, and if it actually turns on as well you get a cheer. One year the company bought us Nokia's with a rubberised 'rugged'
case, most of us engineers took it as a challenge to see just how rugged they really were. Back to normal phones the year after, no idea why

Normal wear and tear is expected yes. Screen scratched, phone looking very unhappy after 3 weeks is "extracting the urine" so I am told
by the boss
I used to have one fo the ruggedised Nokias (5100 i think?) To be fair that lasted me a good couple of years, including abuse whilst out
kite-buggying, mountain biking This Sony one I have now is good, apart from the screen being rather susceptible to scratching
Now...that Avatar, Right Click, Save As?

Re Dave's avatar...
On the final 'bounce' there is a distinct look of discomfort on the poor lasses face

I bought some for my digi cam from Jessops in the high street. You get a pack of 5 so enough to use and replace. They dont scratch very easily though
so I havent replaced the one on my camera in a year.
