fuel pump?
hi there
im building an mk with an 893 blade engine in because i was going cec origanally i fitted donor fuel pump
which is intergrated with fuel sender
will this still be ok with the fireblade engine or do i need to change it ?
if i do what type do i need?

I've got a ZX9R pump to fit to mine. What was you're pump designed for originally?
Engine size, Carb, Inj etc...

CEC pumps tend to be rated for different pressure / flow rates than BEC pumps.
You could use the in-tank pump to get the fuel to a swirl pot and then use an inline bike pump to take it to the carbs...

it was for an 2.0ltr ford engine

I think you'll find the blade pump has a pressure switch in it to prevent the carb float chamber overfilling. When the engine's running,
it will be blipping on and off as fuel is used from the float chamber.
I'm sure you can use a non blade pump, but you need to regulate the flow rate to cope with tick over and flat out.
