has anybody fitted a g.p.t. gear indicator, im having problems setting mine up.
No sorry mine was a girpro which was plug and play
Just under your avatar you mention GSXR.... oh yes...
Apart from having made a great engine choice, there's are several GPI's that plug straight into the loom (white triangular plug) and read
the engine's GP switch (simply, as I'm sure you're aware a selection of resistance values). These GPI's are what you really need
for a GSXR, not the propshaft/speed sensor type.
If it's what you've got, it's faulty....
the display i have is new with the instructions and picks up the speedo and rev wires in the instrument harness with pos and neg feeds. It has a wire for programming but when i go through the program it gose from 1st to 3rd and no further. The make is italian and no reply to e-mails ! oh bugger
get rid of it and get the gi pro as said plug and play. spent hours trying to get mine working with no joy. wifey got me the gi proo for my birthday (she does listen some times when im rambeling on about cars) pluged it in done in half hour works a treat
Geartronics. Thats about as good as it gets for a GSXR. Not cheap though!
I have the Geartronics - GSXR. I can't fault it, lovely.
