OK dont ask... but...

Ive got 90,000 M10x30 high tensile 8.8 grade Hex head Zinc plated screws taking up space in my workshop.

They are boxed in 200's so this might be expensive to post.

looking for £5.00 per box plus carraige ( half normal trade)

looking on ebay they want £2.50 for 5 !!!

If you want a smaller quantity let me know

cheers

andy

I'm asking.. why 90,000?

Was it like, "Ok governor, its the lot or none" ??

Ok So you asked

We have just finished a job where the customer spec'd the wrong size of screw. They then changed to M10 x 25 so we had to dis-assemble 90 odd thousand screws nuts and washers and re-assemble with shorter screws. we have re-boxed in our own boxes but our supplier wont take bake as they are not in the original boxes

well you did ask

cheers

Andy

coolness mate

but still, what needs 90,000 bolts?

andyw7de - 18/11/09 at 04:42 PM

45000 brackets with two holes in them

blakep82 - 18/11/09 at 04:44 PM

makes sense. i was trying to think what kind of machine would have 90,000 screws in it, but brackets makes more sense

WOW!!!! what difference would the extra 5 mm have made?

Must have cost a fair bit diassembling and then reassembling!!!

Not that bad really, we got some cheap labour and gave them a performance bonus, some guys were doing 3000 screws a day

yep 3000 !!! mind numbing screws, spring washer, flat washer and nut

we have since supplied another 100,000 above the initial order
right screws first time

Cheers

Andy
