1995 Mazda RX-7 V8

With a heavy heart I've decided to sell my pride and joy.

It's a 1995 RX-7 Type RB that was imported in 1998 and has been owned by me for the last 16 years.

Key points:

LS2 6 litre V8 conversion in 2009

Mazda 17" space saver spare

Drivetrain:
LS2 6.0 litre V8 engine
High lift rockers and uprated valve springs
Remapped at WGT to give 474 bhp and 482 lbft
T56 manual gearbox with quick shift kit
LS7 clutch and lightened flywheel
RX-7 auto rear diff - 3.9 final drive
Walbro 255 fuel pump
In tank swirl pot/anti surge kit

Conversion parts:

Gearbox mounting frame

Edelbrock headers
TGS custom stainless steel exhaust with twin round tailpipes

Interior:
Momo Corse steering wheel with quick release hub
Alpine iDA-X001 head unit
Kenwood speakers fitted behind standard grilles
Rear bins fitted in place of the standard "seats"
Odyssey PC 925 battery relocated to driver's side rear bin
All interior fitments, trays etc are present and intact. No broken storage compartment lids or missing/broken trim
Full Mazda toolkit and jack

Exterior:
Almost exactly as Mazda intended. I bought this standard in 2000 because I thought it was one of the best looking cars ever. I've never wanted to change the looks so there are no big wings, fibreglass bumpers, vented bonnets, skirts etc etc that you see on most RX-7s. The trained eye will spot the later spec wheels, the bigger brakes, the stainless exhaust (as standard looking as I could get it) and the alloy rad. Of course this all goes to pot when it starts up and you hear that unmistakeable V8 rumble. I've also updated the headlights with a Sakebomb Garage HID projector conversion so the car can be enjoyed at night now too without having to brave the standard "candle in a jam jar" spec headlights.
The paintwork is in very good condition. There are a few marks here and there as you'd find on most 21 year old cars but it's been looked after and that shows.

Thousands spent over the years on maintenance and upgrades. I've done all the trial and error on this conversion so you don't have to.
All the fun (and more) of a high powered RX-7 without the engine rebuilds. Drives superbly and will entertain you all day long with just a flick of the ankle
I have a folder full of receipts, past MOTs, import documentation etc. No expense spared while I've owned it.
I never thought I'd sell but it just doesn't get the use it deserves. I need something that the whole family can go out in these days, plus something a lot cheaper that I don't mind ragging around a track.

I think Mazda would of struggled to manufacture such a beast, well done on creating this beauty.

Having owned a Monaro I throughly worship the Chevy LS block.

Any cheeky vids?

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks guys.

coozer - it sounds like Hell's own brass band has struck up a tune.

There's an old vid from when I first got it running here:

Not much to go on I know but it gives you an idea. The intake and exhaust have changed substantially since then.
