Can't believe this one...
Have some mates around for a few drinkie's tonight... one of them has been on my computer and bought me a VX220 off eBay!
He thought it was amusing, but the bollocking has since sobered him up!
I've sent an email to the vendor explaining the situation and requesting that he contacts the next highest bidder or re-list the item (at my
expense).
Potentially looking like I'll be getting my first negative feedback in over 350 transactions!
Hope the guys not too p*ssed off (I'm thinking I would be pretty miffed!).
eeeeeeek
Well i wouldnt complain if he had bought me a car!
aah...one of those types of friend...
as long as you explain it the vendor cant be too pissed
He is, that is beyond a joke.
Morale of story, dont leave PC logged on when 'mates' and drink are present.
i would be pissed of to im 6'3" and dont fit in the VX220
if you cover all costs for the seller they might see the funny side
davie
bit ott that.
Hopefully he'll/she'll be ok with your suggestion.
Whats the item number? Is it nice!?
Cheers
Rich

make your mate pay for it and keep the vx! or make your mate pay and ill have it
TBH he's picked a decent one from my 'watching' list... 2002 model Cat D (needs a new front clam and headlight) - £4312!
He's getting brave again and thinks it's all mildly amusing!
hahaha, a bit OTT, surely he could have bought you some crotchless panties or something a little less expensive but a whole load more embarassing.
FFS... it just gets better... the giddy-collective are starting to consider a 'group-buy'... fix it and flog it!
LOL!
God I'm dreading opening my emails!
Right, back to my 'company'... laters!
Punch the twat in the nose, and see if he still laughs then?
It is quite funny mind......
I dont leave my computer left open for anyone to mess around with... even at work.

sellers can't leave negative feedback any more so no need to worry about that one.

if you ask the seller to cancel the transaction by opening a dispute through "my ebay" then you agree to it, he will get the fees credited back to him and no one should need to leave bad feedback, ive just done that today if you need to know how.
I had a mate once, reach round me at an ATM and press the £200 option at the start of a night out. It was the end of the month and it cost me a
fortune in bad credit and charges, but he gave me a few quid toward the charges and who cares about credit nowadays!
I was annoyed walking round with that money as I rly needed it the week after and was at Uni at the time.
to be honest, I did see the funny side of it, but didn't tell him that!!!
On the flip side, I bid on a golf gti one night of drinking with another mate of mine (McLannahan on here) and we both forgot about it and we won the
auction for £132!!!There were no photos and a very poorly written advert... Turned out to be the best car he ever had!!! Aahhhh Golfy....
I think I'd have a word with your mate though, at £4k he can pay for it....

on the down side, i recently had my subaru on ebay for sale...it had a bid on it so i went ahead and bought another car...
auction ended and i didnt hear anything from the buyer...
a day later i got a message saying his mate thought it would be fun to bid on loads of stuff he didnt want....
so i got left with a car to pay for and no money....
was not a happy chap.....
If all it needs is a couple of parts maybe a group buy is in order... It doesn't have to be road legal for track days does it?

Eeeek - thats not good. So less than a week before Xmas someone sells their car and might be pretty reliant on the cash over the holidays. Your mate
might just have spoilt some kid's Xmas there - dont suppose he's considered this? I know i'd be seriously annoyed if i was selling and
lost out on a sale because of some drunken idiot's joke. I'd also not be too inclined to believe the "drunken mate" story so I
dont envy you opening your email either.
Hopefully the seller can do a 2nd chance offer to the next highest bidder and it'll all end ok.
Hope you get it sorted out quickly.
Steve
I have a couple of mates like that. I bet hes the sort to push you when your at the urinal too!!
I never leave my pc signed in to anything. Even my missus.

Vendor was spot on about it and has cancelled the transaction... the next highest bidder (just a few quid below) has taken the car!
Phew!
Lesson learned about leaving the computer on!
One of the guys in the trade parts call centre on our site left his computer logged into meganesport forum over luchtime. He later came back to find
posts submitted from his computer questioning his sexuality and describing what body parts he likes to put into his mouth lol.
He logged out, then logged back in and found that he had been banned! Although when he got home, he had had a new password emailed to him and a
warning about leaving his computer logged in whilst he was not there!

A little melodramatic I think, the seller is a salvage yard operator.
