was not too bad, an amusing joke about the lack of money but thats no excuse at all for blatently padding it with really dull stuff.
Lexus sounded nice, what engine was it?
if you changed every word on the Oxford English Dictionary to Dull and the read it our in a boring monotone you get that episode of Top Gear
BO**OCKS
ATB Dan.
first time ive been genuinely bored to the point of considering turning it off.
Last episode in this series, shame really I will miss the weekly moaning about it
Yep, the writing is on the wall unless they can find some way to reinvent the program in my opinion...
Interesting as people moan that the programme doesn't do consumer based pieces on cars and that is what both May and Clarkson did tonight on the
VXR and the X6 and peoe moan that it's boring.
I thought it was ok tonight. Overall I think the series needs freshening up but there has still been some classic stuff in this series roadtrips,
challenges and great cinematography as usual. I did like the Frank Miller comicstrip effect on the Lexus tonight worked very well IMHO
roll on the new and fresh looking new season. You would all miss it if it went.
......... Neil
Was amazed to see Seasick Steve on there, would never have guessed they would have chosen him as a guest.
aye, seasick was a good touch.
I did like how badly clarkson panned the x6, you'd think BMW would fall out with him over that!
I quite enjoyed it actually, the x6 and VXR pieces were ok.
I really love the Lexus!! I am having the wee ripped out of me actually, I was watching it with a bunch of friends and said "that car is effing
sexy" the instant before they said it was an engineers wet dream.

OH!!
Buy Seasick Steves record. I got it after seeing him on Later! Its a cracking listen.

I thought it was a good episode.
Anyone else see that TopGear was voted show of the Decade on a program on chanel 4? I know this is a bit late but I watched it today on the old sky
plus.
Still on a massive downhill journey.. Used to be about cars and now..
Exotic travel, holidays (ermm road trips?) clowning, scripted jokes and setup gags, building, breaking or blowing up crap and just seems to be more
and more about them getting too full of themselves.
Believe me I used to love it and its not been hard for a while to get bored and frustrated. My GF found an article from the director who was basically
saying he cant wait for this series to finish and he's ashamed of his work as he now realises its been getting less car content and more
presenter celeb content.
I think they (top gear) would have done themselves more justice if they had put the VXR and to a lesser degree the X6 around the track. Would have
been nice to see what the affordable VXR could do and on a fun note how badly the X6 did.
Watching super cars fly round is good but!
The best bit was the line about Stig's boots and the bits on road traffic signs. It is just as if the writers need a break to come back with
something a bit fresher.
I quite like the larking around, its just that the "spontaneous incudents" have got so contrived.
The best bit last night was Hammond demolishing the xmas tree. Had me in stitches
it was class. love the lexus film too, all the graphics were amazing

Yup, deffo a better episode than the crap that's been on for a while, I think the next series will see something a bit more back to basics,
hopefully!!
And yes, good to see it won programme of the decade.
Just watched it on iPlayer... (far) less fannying about than normal and probably the best episode of the season!
