Whats with the filed out lines?

hicost blade - 11/1/10 at 09:31 PM

This has ruined me evening! I'm going to have to read the whole lot now, I'm addicted!

I love this kind of craftsmanship

ummmm blue pedals

T66 - 11/1/10 at 09:32 PM

The post is a big one so keep looking, some of the work is really shoddy.

The ground out lines in the combustion chambers are to enhance the mixtures path to the sparkplugs...

yeah right

Between about page 7 and 12 theres not much, but the images come in thick and fast after that.

Horrific

Check out the homemade clutch on page 21

looks really safe

cd.thomson - 11/1/10 at 09:49 PM

Ingenious if insane

page 24 "The car's debut" "Clutch already slipping"

T66 - 11/1/10 at 09:54 PM

To tackle removing a complete dash from an EVO, and refitting it requires some skill without doubt...

His engineering prowess is lacking though, his paintwork is horrendous.

iank - 11/1/10 at 10:12 PM

Hahaha page 64 (though the 'work' isn't from the main subject of the thread)

hicost blade - 11/1/10 at 10:18 PM

New avatar thank you very much!

blakep82 - 11/1/10 at 10:22 PM

flak monkey - 11/1/10 at 10:25 PM

Thats quite 'special'

tomprescott - 11/1/10 at 10:47 PM

I couldn't believe that someone would take an angle grinder to a clutch and then photo it as an example of their great work

Loved it when the comeback was "you guys are jealous"!

omega0684 - 11/1/10 at 10:51 PM

fair play for having a go, but you have to admit to yourself that when your rubbish at something, there's no point in trying! but having said that, that thread has to be one of the funniest threads i've read in a long while,

"step away from the TIG Welder!" Class!

Fair enough to have a go, but to charge people money to ruin their cars...?

Lol yeah I'm real jealous that my car will still beat yours at the lights after all the work you've done because mine runs...

I just love it when people that have no idea think they're experts

carpmart - 12/1/10 at 10:32 AM

I actually started laughing out loud when I viewed this link!

Then I nearly re-decorated my screen with coffee when I saw the photos on page 64!

Proper priceless stuff!

Bluemoon - 12/1/10 at 01:21 PM

Page 64 is class, like the turbo mod, sure I've seem some one else try that before...

Welding a work of "art"...

T66 - 12/1/10 at 01:41 PM

what makes the thread even funnier for me, is the guys are taking the pics from another forum and posting them up to theirs so they can laugh at them...

priceless

T66 - 12/1/10 at 01:44 PM

Oh my word, page 64 is amazing I hadnt seen those pics before.

Flabbergasted

The propshaft paint matches the ramp its sitting on ....

I bet the garage doors are the same too.

cringe

Ivan - 13/1/10 at 11:32 AM

Finally seen someone who's welding is worse than mine Mind you there's something almost artistic about that manifold.

DIY Si - 13/1/10 at 12:27 PM

I think the diffs are electronic aren't they? All part of the active yaw control gubbins? I may be wrong, but one item on Ebay says it was removed to fit a non-AYC LSD diff.

Nash - 13/1/10 at 12:52 PM

Mr Bean paint job!

Place tin of blue paint in middle of car and detonate!

Quality

after all that the engine actually ran and pulled (albeit briefly) 380hp at 7000RPM!

What a testiment to the engine in the first place.

Then the picture of the guy who penned the three marks on his forehead. FANTASTIC!!!

I AM only Jealous
