i hired one about 18months ago from Derek P Fiske but not very local to you, ended up about £80 all in for 24hours doing 250 miles, i found it really hard to find anyone who hired them out other option was to hire a trailer and van to tow it with. alternative is if mileage not to far is to get someone to deliver think around £1/mile

Join the AA and call in a recovery home?

My dad reckons the reason its difficult to hire one is recovery people don't want you to have the option.

rent a flatbed and use a ramp/dock or a crane.

The bay of e has a large number of transporter hire options. Comes with a driver etc but also insurance.

I used one last year and it was great.
