Who has had one ?

Either as an owner or as a driver.

What fell off, what nightmares were there, were you glad to get shot of it ?

I'm considering one right now as a general hack for carrying people, car bits, band gear, that sort of thing.

I don't know anyone wo has had one so am blind to their strengths / weaknesses.

My dad's got a peugeot expert, has been pretty reliable so far, the 1.9 turbo diesel is a fairly old engine but parts for it are cheap - with the exception of clutches. The only bad thing is that being french, its a pig to work on - you'll need a full tool kit (they use just about every size of torx) but other than that not too bad.

Really don't like the way you have to take off an engine mount to do the cam belt though!

my mate had got an 07 scudo 1.9 mjet 120 and its fab. goes well and has been very reliable not one fault to date and he had had it from new and done 100k so far.

Thinking of getting one too, few mates have had them and only have good stuff to say.

How about a Fiat Ducato? easy to work on, good on fuel, reliable. Had one about 5 years ago for courier work around europe, did about 600,000 miles in it. Only problem was clutch pedals snap occasionaly but cost £8 from dealers and take less than 10 mins to fit. Really good vans. Don't get the 1.9 non turbo, they are crap.

You are never going to get any where fast.
Unless you have the turbo they are sooooooo slow Its side doors leak as the rubber seals fall off. The engine self destructed as the dealer saved 15 quid by not fitting the tensioner when they changed the timing belt........

it folded up like paper when my mate challenged a gas van and lost.......

I had an R reg Fiat Scudo Turbo Diesel which I ran for 4 years, it was all Peugeot apart from the badges.
Problems I had were a blown heater hose which meant I cooked the engine (possibly my fault really but easily fixed with a motor from a smashed Citreon Xsara), gearbox synchros going (fixed myself but £350+ in parts!), heater fan switch going wrong (a fortune but fixed it with bits from a smashed Pug 106), the sliding doors aint a great fit & tend to catch the wind with the leading edge at speed. Various other run of the mill stuff like a wheel bearing, bottom arms/balljoints etc.
Good points were it was fairly nice to drive, not too slow but OK on fuel unless you wanted to cruise at highish speed as 90 was flat out & maximum revs, much more resistant to rust than a Transit, not as hard to work on as most french stuff
I'd have another if it suited my needs but wanted something with rear seats so bought an ex AA VW Transporter which has 5 seats & is built to a different standard, way better but it cost more to buy, more to insure, parts aint as cheap & it's mabye a touch worse on fuel. Still no regrets about trading for the VW though!

I'm on my second Scudo now (I don't get to choose what I get given ). Both have had issues with the sliding doors not sealing properly (as per the above two posts). Current one is just noisy as hell on the motorway unless I ratchet strap the two doors to each other to pull them in at the top, but the last van wasn't even vaguely watertight without the doors strapped. I've had the seals and the locating wedge-y things on the doors replaced a couple of times, one of our other guys had the doors themselves replaced under warranty on his as they started leaking after about a month. No matter what you do to them, they'll start opening themselves out after a couple of months again.

Other than that I quite like it. Nice enough to drive, and neither of the two I've had have ever failed to get me somewhere, which is more than can be said for the various Vauxhall's I'd had before.
