I've just driven down to the office to finish a bit of work and the drivers window wouldn't work. The car (Renault Megane) has full closure
so that when you double-click the lock button on the key fob the windows shut. I locked it as such and it opended the ****ing window! It won't
shut now
A quick google and I found this. Clearly I'm not the only one!

sometimes the wire splits a little and gets caught, or could be the window rubber is too tight for some reason fooling into thinking someone is stuck in the window
hope its not like my Golf a small plastic part broke and resulted in me paying £50 for all the cables and rollers to repair it. Pig of a Job in the dark. As a temporay fix I wedged the glass up with a piece of plastic Conduit
More than likely will be water in the door loom and or the computer on the regulator. How old is the car as Renault have extended the warranty on this failure to 4 years now.
I've just followed some advice on that site and got it shut. Pull the fuse, put it back, press the remote and it closes 2 inches. Repeat 20 times until it's shut and remove the fuse (or in my case drop it down the back of the dash). At least I don't need to find some plastic now.
