Why has it got so many connections?
Fuel pots like this are about £55 without the fittings, fittings are from £10 each for the straight ones £25 for the 90 deg £95 new ish

I wanted to ask the same thing, but don't wanna sound daft! I'd have thought you only need an fuel in, fuel out and a fuel return from the feed rail.

A proper swirl pot has 4 connections like the pic above.
Bottom is the outlet to HP pump.
2 on the side are main fuel in from LP pump and return from FP regulator.
Top on is return to the fuel tank.

Why? The one you've shown (made by Spencer) looks fine and his work is usually very good!
Swirl pot?
These are just small fuel tanks, built to ensure a permanent supply of fuel to the HP pump and rail, to avoid fuel surge on cornering etc..
Why would you want to swirl the fuel?
