I don't think they should go into a sales career with this for an opening line.

"This is a pro conversion by us, but whilst we did the important bits properly we never finished it to a high standard"

WOW a PRO conversion, finished to a poor standard.... AWESOME... I want 2

there's your answer. i guess its the same kind of thing, if you're an electrician, the last thing you want to do after working all day, is go home and rewire your own house lol

hmmm, you know how the chrysler 300c, with the hemi V8, shuts down 4 cylinders when its driving round town, then uses all 8 for power, i wonder if megasquirt could do the same thing? i guess it just needs to shut off 4 injectors, then maybe use all 8 when switched inside the car? or a switch under the accelerator?

Ninehigh - 20/2/10 at 12:30 PM

The second one is bad, the first looks like a fair attempt just appears to need the old "tlc"

Looks like an El Camino (that one that Earl drives on My Name Is Earl)

Someone in Warrington did that to a Nova a few years ago, did a decent job of it too. I reckon one of us could make good work of it.

iscmatt - 20/2/10 at 12:31 PM

haha that second one is just a joke

Starting bid of £300 seems a bit optimistic.

plentywahalla - 20/2/10 at 03:08 PM

The first one looks like it started life as a hearse ... in which case what else would you do with it.

That looks like someone's cut the back off a Lynx Eventer and stuck it on an E-Type!

The Alfa looks alright, even if it does look like an old Caddy.
I like the E-Type Hearse (I like hearses in general), Its a shame it was destroyed in the process of making the film (And due to a technical fault the destruction wasn't caught on film).
I quite like that last one aswell where they've done a propper job and formed the back of the new cab out of the old rear section.

edspurrier - 20/2/10 at 06:49 PM

Overtook an Eventer on the A1 a few days ago. Looked pretty good actually. With a V12 and LPG conversion would make a great practical machine...

I always wonder if a gynaecologist has these issues.

Nah, bin the V12 and stick a modern Jag diesel in it. Weight saving will prob make up for shortfall in power, and save a fortune in petrol (tax).

A female friend told me that most (male) gynaecologists end up gay for (kindof) that reason

hmm, I am not convinced.

the engine running of 4 culinders has to be less efficient as it still must turn over the "unused" 4 cylinders and work against the compression in them.

It would makde sense when coasting or if the brake is applied.
