Anyone know anything about 2.8 engine in a ducato?

I bought a 2000 W plate ducato minibus before xmas to convert into a race truck. It was driving and starting fine when i picked it up and the few times i moved it around. Its now been sitting on the drive for a few months and the battery has gone flat. I recharged the battery top start it but it didn't go, although battery wasn't great. But something i did notice is that there was no glowplug light lit on the dash. Now i'm not sure if they have one or not, can anyone help?????

Knackered battery probably, glow plug circuits pull a fair bit ampage and need a real good source...

Anyone close got a battery booster power pack thing to see if it will go off that?

got a booster pack coming home with me tonight Just wanna know if there is a glowplug light to start with though!

My last Motorhome was based on the Fiat 2.8Jtd. And im 99.99% certain it had the "pigs tail" light on there.

Just modified my post, not sure if its JTD as they only came in in 2000/2001!!!! Any idea how i now what is what??

that should be a DI engine with no heater plugs
