after looking at the earlier thread of the god awful onyx bobcat that was built at the blind school, my eyes are hurting and I have to redress the
balance of this forum.....................
behold a thing of beauty
Just dont look at it from the back

Trouble is, you can't park it anywhere!
Alfa have done it again!
Looks: 10, Glamour: 10, Drool Effect: 10
but
Practicality: 0, Useability: 0 and more than likely Reliability: 0
Does look spot on though
quote:So, as it scores about the same as most of our cars on the last 3 points, overall it wins by a significant margin.

front looks a bit ungainly - maybe it is the effect of the small headlamps but has ertainly redressed the balance.
then there is this too - wtf is going on with them wheels?
That Alfa is stunning!
Yes it is - what I don't understand is why we a plagued by shite (in my opinion) styling when you could have a body like the alfa. I mean the
Onyx clearly took skill to manufacture there's no doubt there but why do mechanics turn their hand to design - leave design to designers or use
the internet for inspiration - not your toolbox.
Imagine the conversation on a friday afternoon after some beer " sh1te Bill, we forgot to design the bodywork"
Bob, "mmm well it needs to be red and have wheels, your Snap On roll cab is red with wheels - we'll put some lights on it and that will
do"
Bill, "we need a name"
"Oi cat, get off Bob's sandwitch"
..................two genius' at work on a Friday afternoon, we have a Bobcat that looks like a Snap On rollcab

Not all kit car designers get it wrong...
Just need the recession to end so people will put their hands in their pockets and encourage Aeon to build it...
The problem is kitcar businesses aren't exactly a license to print money, and designers (especially good ones) cost a lot of money.
That said there are some good designers out there, but they are the rare breed of engineer designers rather than specialists.
Richard Oakes has penned some very pretty cars
Jeremy Phillips has also done some very presentable cars.
from a non kitcar pov, conformity to safety legislation and such dictates alot when it comes to car styling (as well as money obviously). I'm
really liking alot of recent and upcoming cars at the moment (Especially from Alfa Romeo). Out of intrest, which alfa is the one in the picture?
Some more Alfa Lovelyness for you all.
