jacko - 7/3/10 at 09:18 PM

HI all i have just been reading on another forum that if you put 250ml 2 stroke oil in a tank full of diesel it will make the engine run smother / quieter /and use less diesel
has any one tried this or heard any thing about this
Jacko
PS the engine is a diesel engine

I have heard that when using veg oil but not diesel.

Not sure id want to put it through a common rail engine.

Just put magnets round the fuel pipes, easier , cleaner and you only have to do it once

Also one of those little electric turbines in the inlet manifold produce at least 50bhp

Load of rubbish. If it was true the oil companies would just supply it in the fuel.

All it'll do is f*** up your cat (if you have one of course) and result in an expensive repair bill.

Use 50:1 if you are running on kerosine/heating oil

And it makes absolutely no difference at all except that your wallet is slightly lighter after buying them!

The oil in the diesel is pants too. I run home made bio diesel and get more power and torque, that's the way to go!

Don't know about diesels but Mazda rotaries like a little 2 stroke oil now and then

seems to work for an awful lot of people on briskoda.net, one guy who has emigrated to Dubai (Basil I think) has about a year long running thread detailing how his car is behaving with a mix in it, who knows, might work?

So, if you wanna read more guff on the subject, go over there and search his username,
