hi guys,
i found a website the other day that had all the converson details for Metric to JIC fittings, but in a bit of a dopey donkey moment i forgot to
bookmark the page! Now of course, the Law of Sod has come back with a round house sucker punch and i can't find the site.
does anyone know of a site that has the details of the JIC fittings and their thread sizes and what size hoses they fit?
i thought it might have Speedflow but i can seem to find it on their site
i will continue to search but if any of you have a link that would help
All the best
Alex
The dash (-) size is the internal size of the hose in 1/16" of an inch so:-
JIC -4 = 1/4" (male OD 7/16" Female ID 25/64" 20tpi)
JIC -5 = 5/16" (male OD 1/2" Female ID 29/64" 20tpi)
JIC -6 = 3/8" (male OD 9/16" Female ID 1/2" 18tpi)
JIC -8 = 1/2" (male OD 3/4" Female ID 11/16" 16tpi)
JIC -10 = 5/8" (male OD 7/8" Female ID 13/16" 14tpi)
JIC -12 = 3/4" (male OD 1+ 1/16" Female ID 31/32" 12tpi)
JIC -16 = 1" (male OD 1+5/16" Female ID 1+15/64" 12tpi)
Hose tails are readily available in either a step up or step down from standard sizes.
Need anymore info just ask.
Regards
Davie
Look for the Parker website, it's all on there. You have to register, though. CAD files are there as well.
