Heat reflective sleeve - from where?
Xtreme Kermit - 16/4/10 at 10:27 PM

Having removed my snapped clutch cable, it seems pretty obvious that it has broken at the point nearest the exhaust fanimold.

Whilst the cable had some heat reflective material on it, I need some better stuff as it seems that the plastic outer has melted and the inner has rusted causing the failure.

Does anyone know where I can get some propper heat reflective sleeving from?

Don't what engine you have but on my Pinto I used the much longer Cosworth 2WD one, this loops over and under the manifold not through it as with the standard one

Thats my new favourite word

Not as good as "lubrificated" as seen on instructions for a 2CV air filter yesterday

top job - thanks guys!

550 c in 1 metre lengths is just what the doctor ordered.

I could really do with a shorter one if anything, as I have a pinto with a high exit exhaust, so it needs to duck under it before it goes too far.

However having had my head stuck down the foot well for an hour, the new standard one works a treat.
