Just gone to garage to tidy it up, and I must of put some engine oil onto of the alloys/wheels (slicks), and the oil has tipped over.
I have jet washed them, but is there anything I can do to make sure the oil has gone?
It I can do something, best doing it now, a I will forget, but the wheels on and go for a little spin!!!
1. Put the offending tyre on the rear of the car.
2. Drive to deserted car park on industrial estate (carefully).
3. Engage first, dial up about 6k rpm and sidestep clutch.
4. Repeat until no oil left on tyre.
5. Leave before the police turn up and ask you what you are doing ("Err, nothing" is apparently not an acceptable answer when you have just
drawn black lines all over a car park that is in plain view....)
the tyres are not going to be on a car for a long while, and they are slicks....
Rub some Swarfega on them and wash again
Try cleaning a small area with brake cleaner or if you can get some use Bufsol
