took a few pics from the hill climb today. not too many cars. you will understand why when you read my blog page!
check out the pics in my mnr blog under post!
Looking at the car you are building I wonder why MNR hide such a nicely made chassis under a lotus 7 shape...crying shame that
Poor service to the paying public. I got there at about 10:30 and they didnt announce the problems until well past lunchtime when the timed runs were started. Not as many spectators or entries as I have seen in the past. Anyway, nice run out of about 110 miles in the car. God, aint there some pot holes around these days and some a serious size? Passed a good 30 to 40 Mk 1 and 2 Escorts on the way home. Some of them were getting, er, just a little enthusiastic!!!!
you suggesting i run my car with no bodywork? lol. your right, the chassis quality and attention to detail is superb! i had the engine in and both engine mounts and gearbox mounts done in about 15 minutes. it fits perfectly (although a bit on the high side, due to tall engine) and with minimal clearence to transmission tunnel! am really impressed with them, and marc really knows his stuff!
myke. a ford RS meet at heaves hotel just outside kendal will answer the last part of your post! i also got to barbon about 11 am and really enjoyed
it when i was out of the wind!
edit.
also club cars are running mid june which is the really big meet at barbon! did you see my mate richard salt crash on the hairpin? he was not happy
as its the alfa championship at oulten park next week!

I didnt actually see the crash but saw him come back down on the trailer. Those hay bales are quite hard it looked from the damage but not as hard as Armco!!! How many cars are usually entered in June and what kinds?
Now I thought it'll be Barbon in a couple of weeks last month & thought I'd go as I've not gone in a while & then forgot all
about it! Saw a mate last night who'd been & was glad I did'nt make it.
I've not been in a while but the June event is the better one in my opinion, more cars of the kind you could relate to. More modified production
cars, rally cars, road legal stuff.

hi folks its barbon time again,12th june a week on saturday,i wont be there with sunbeam as im doing weeton army barracks rally near blackpool on the
sunday, best not risk the car on saturday at barbon though it would of been nice as we have improved the handling and now turned the revs up from 6500
to 7500 but will be there next year, have a good day
