New Project
mgmiller - 13/5/10 at 12:09 PM

Hi,

As I have just sold the Veinto I'm looking for a new project. I'm after some ideas of what to build?
Criteria as follows:-
Preferably something with a windscreen and roof.
Upto about £20000 to complete the build.
Would consider a part built.

I open to any ideas but not a seven as I have done that now.

Cheers

Mark

With a budget of £20k you must be into Cobra replica territory (if that floats your boat).

Buy Razmans Aeon off him! (& make him happy!)

ultima

Buy a TVR Sag or t350 with body damage.... get a BMW straight 6 engine from an M series car.... add the two together with some cunning bodyowkr mods and you have something quite special

I recon for 20K you could build an absolute mint monster!

£20k ?

Dax Rush, ZX12 engine, £10k

Secondhand R1, new leathers and lid say £6k

Karts for me and the lad, trailer etc £4k

A bunch of flowers for the wife £2.50

Bugger over budget, something may have to go

Daddylonglegs - 13/5/10 at 12:53 PM

Look, save yourself all this deciding rubbish. Give me the money and I'll take all that stress and worry off your hands, and you can rest assured in the knowledge that I will have all the hassle of deciding what to do with the lolly

iank - 13/5/10 at 12:53 PM

What about:

Should be able to build a really nice one for £20k.

or a steel one http://www.minisprint.eu/

To misquote the XXXX advert of a few years ago

"looks like you've overdone it with the flowers"

cant recall the name but theres a really pretty kit in ppc this month which was designed for the honda v6, but someones fitting a volvo t5 to it.

Confused but excited. - 13/5/10 at 04:10 PM

For £20k I'd be looking at a GT40 replica.

eddie99 - 13/5/10 at 04:12 PM

For 20k.... is that still kit car territory? Maybe the Phantom Vortex?

My friend has just put a T5 engine into one of these... cant wait to see how it performs

that for the ideas gents.

I think a descent cobra or gt40 would cost a lot more than £20000.

I do like the votrex and it build quality but I think it needs to be a bit more aggressive to make it special.

Cheers
