just watched "Custom my ride". for those that don't know it a docu-show about west coast
customs
They basically hacked about a $350k maybach, seemingly welding and drilling at random onto it and hacking together a fibreglass bodykit.
Admittedly the finished product 'looks' relatively well done from a distance but I expected it to have been done with more care and
professionalism. Also it must have torched the resale value of the car. I just can't see a prospective maybach owner buying it.
Any thoughts?

I refuse to watch any shows that use adjectives as verbs
Not my kind of car, but does seem criminal sticking bits of fibreglass to something like that. Then again I would imagine anyone rich enough to buy a
Maybach and then have this kind of thing done to it isn't going to be unduly worried by resale value.
lol
seemed a shame to dick around with such an expensive car

Apparantly they depreciate alot but I've yet to see a cheap one (Especilly if you compare it to someting like the Phaeton).
Overhaulin' is the only one of thoses shows that produces cars I'd actually want, unless you count Chop Shop and Wheeler Dealers.
So what if it ends up ugly, it starts ugly? None of those shows put nice looking cars together. The paint jobs are nice though sometimes.
I like the Maybach, it's a stunning car and lovely to go long distances in (my dad's cousin owns 1).
But i can never see the point of all this "Pimping" rubbish, sometimes a car is perfect as it is.

The customer profile thats aimed squarely is a rapper drug dealer draped in gold chains who dont give a s****** about the cost or depriation. Just as
long as it looks bling to his peers
I've yet to see a car by West Coast Customs that I like. On the other hand the Overhaulin cars usually look great. Chip does like two tones
Back to West Coast Customs. What do they all look like.
