The wife has just used a scourer on her car!!

What a week, first i pass out in the middle of the night and end up in an ambulance, then i'm sick as a dog all week with man flu, then boiler breaks down and i'm told it needs to be moved before it can be repaired and to top it all off the missus has just shown me a nice scratchy dull patch on her 1 year old tintop - she tried to get rid of bird crap using an f'ing scourer!!

I think i might just go back to bed and write this week off!

Bad week then.. Hope T-cut is enough... At least she admitted it!

I think she had no choice but to admit it, i arrived at her moment of realisation, just as it was drying. Think it's borderline t-cuttable!!

If it's to deep you could do what I've done in the past, apply waxoyl every so often, looks rubbish (washes off in about 1 year) but would be a good reminder to her in doors not to do it again.. You can always remove it and paint at a latter date..

Depends on how old the car is and weather you mind seeing it looking like poo!

To add to the complication it's a lease car that has to go back in 2 years!!

you could us this lot I just had a bumper repair done cheap and really good job Chipsaway

Try and buff it out; it will probably come up OK (well, at least OK-ish...) if she did not break through the clear coat, which is unlikely.

Or, alternatively, take it to a pro detailler to have it looked at before attempting a spot repair.

Id kick her and get her out there with the G3.

Shouldnt this be in Mad House as a joke or are all women stupid??

Why would you do that? I was cautious about removing little black spots of tar from my 20 y/o car which already had shitty paint work (I didn't do it until my dad went first on his own truck). Have they never thought to use a jet wash?

You might have to get it fixed propperly to avoid invalidating you warranty.

Don't worry, unless she has gone crazy with it, it should polish out. Just don't use T-Cut, it is only marginally better than the scourer. Have a look on Detailing World and you should find someone on your doorstep who will sort it out for you. Failing that if you are ever in the Hull area i could help you out.
