I always know when TG is on because it goes to the top of the Iplayer chart within about 5 minutes of finishing! Amazing. Such a popular program- even the repeats regularly go into the top ten.

Now personally I'd like to see a bit more technical shizzle on there. Trouble is those three know JS about cars and say as much.

There really is a niche market for geeky car tech. Annoyingly when I'm abroad I see all kind of interesting programs about technology on the German channels but even when they do speak to a UK chappy they do a bloody German voice over. Whatever next

indeed, as i was watching last weeks i was wishing they would go into a bit of detail about the hilux. Ah well, thats what the discovery channels are for!

They know a hell of a lot more about the workings of the cars they drive than they let on on TG Especially Clarkson and May, who are both very passionate about engineering!

Reminded me how much I really want an Issetta, I thought I'd share this link with you as I've considered trading in my Car and getting one of his lovely machines as my everyday car.

Isettas are cool. What they needed to point out to James in the "garage" was that Isettas had sunroofs so you could escape if the door was blocked.

And the fact that most garages are much bigger than the one they made James park in so in reality, he would have no problem getting out.

Its little points like that make the program look abit stupid but the rest of it makes up for it

I think it's time for Hammond to call it a day... he brings nothing to the show for me.

Clarkson and Captain Slow could do it on their own methinks... in fact Captain Slow on his own would be just fine!

Just watching it now. Five mins in and yaaaaaaawn... 'buy a four door saloon to use on a track-day challenge'! They've only done something similar 10 gazzillion times before!

Oh... and an 'accidental' collision involving May and Hammond... never saw that coming! Hilarious!

Makes a change May crashing into hammond tho it usually vice versa

morcus - 5/7/10 at 04:43 PM

That dogleg gearbox joke (Accidently putting it in reverse) has to be 30 years old now, though its still funny.

You still have a problem in the isseta with no reverse, I had a car which I had to pull out of parking spaces because swapping between R and D cut the engine out when it was cold, and that had the door on the side so I could opperate the brakes whilst doing it. I'd still have one though.

What used to be compulsory viewing is now just background noise after I drift off and do something else through loss of interest... !!!

They did nothing even remotely fresh in this latest episode - just the same old same old!

And Richard Hammond and his 'excited school-boy' act is getting almost as irritating as James Corden!
