What sort of money is it get a tow bar fitted and wired up...?
Passat mk6 estate
about 300 at indespension for one of them. Get the bar and vehicle specific wiring kit and do it yourself. Theyr easy and not expensive off ebay. Try towequip.
Thanks Dan
Do the DIY kits come with a template for any drilling?
Do you actually need to drill any holes these days or is a bolt on affair...?
I got my 2007 Passat fitted with standard towbar for £326, the car has cambus wiring so needs a special box to get the wiring to work.
Easy enough to DIY, comes with instructions, usually the worst thing you need to do is drop the bumper but that depends on the car, have a look on Tow Sure web site I think they have all of the instructions on there so look before you buy.
Could try Towsure down in Southampton, they have fitted towbars to my last few cars and tend to be a good bit cheaper than Indespension
Go down the scrappy and find one, then you can take it off, see how its fitted, and pay £40.
You builds a car so fit the thing yourself!
Just done the Saab, toweqipe for less than £100 inclunding ball and wiring.
£25 for the relay box if its got modulated lights with fail warnings etc

Top replies chaps - cheers!
Already been looking at the Westfalia kit which seems easy enough.
My only hesitation is the fact it's a lease car so it has to go back to standard on return. No holes means that should be simple enough though!
