Over the weekend I saw an advert for new VW cars - it offered
"3 years free servicing for £250"
But... if I have to pay £250 it's not free, is it?
The adverts ive seem are '3 years fixed price servicing'
Maybe the local dealer or printer cocked the advertising for that particular ad.
Ask your granny.
Bargain!!! One VW service is near that anyway
I looked at that the other day.. Then I thought about it.. modern service intervals are knocking on 18k, which is probably a service once a year for
most people.
In the first three services, I'm fairly certain it's a case of oil, filter and possibly pollen/air filter and coolant change once.
I'd imagine the brake components to be "Inspect and replace if necessary".
At almost 100 quid a service, yes it's a bargain compared to normal dealer prices, but still a lot compared to doing it yourself! I would
probably take it out if buying a new car though.. 100 quid a year for certain is very pleasing!
However, it does pose the invitation to get one of those new Fox's for bugger all, then taking it offroad on a rally at full revs and then taking
it for it's fourth free clutch + suspension service. Everything else should still be covered by warranty
