New shape, anything I should be looking for, common faults ?

one fault each. Ones french and the other is Italian!
don`t do it they are S.h.i.t i work for fedex as a contracted driver, i drive a ford but the drivers that work direct for fedex use the citroen, at least once a month they go in for something and they are only 1yr old and and one thing with the door dont let it open too far as it will start ripping the metal and watch the side door dont fall off! but maybe if it has a very carefull driver they should be ok maybe its us courirers that dont look after them!!
proper sh*t. broken wires(non start) clutch/dual mass flywheel do a gogle search you will find lots of unhappy people

I run 6 of these. New shape fiat ducatos. All top spec. 160 hp air con. LWB pick ups.
Lovely to drive very quick and satisfying to drive. Sprinters and transits can't hold a candle to the performance of these. Never given me an
problems. Mine each cover 60 - 80 thousand (yes 80 thousand) miles a year.
Bullet proof. I don't buy into hype from people who have always had transits or mercs. Ducato is great value for money and much nicer to drive
than its rivals.
Get it with the big spec and air con and you'll want nothing else

Mate bought two ducatos brand new last year, both have been heaps of trouble. Loads of little niggly faults, including a few stoppers capped of with a
shagged cylinder head, and a clutch/gearbox. Both less than 20k miles

Only driven a rental one, but they are SOOOOO nice to drive, don't compare to a transit!
Can't comment on reliability (or lack of!)
Like i said. We've had no trouble. There is alot of brand bashing going on sometimes. You never hear anyone having a go at established names like
the transit. Seems funny everyone has forgotten about their massive recall for faulty bottom ends??? Recalled thousand because of a crap engine.
Offering rebuilds or money back.
I'm just making the case because we've never had the problems others say they've had.
Worth mentioning again that we buy the top spec with the 3.0 litre engines. Dont know if that makes a difference.... just my two pence

They both share a lot of parts as Peugeot.....all have there faults. Just make sure you get a decent warranty and maintain the vehicle, then you
should get good service and value for money.
Just go to your local Citroen/Fiat dealer and have a discreet word with a mechanic - they will tell you the things to look for when buying!
ive just bought a VW t5 1.9tdi. You may have to spend more, or settle for an older van, but there worth the extra in my opinion. Citroen is better looking though...
