had my tintop for sale for a week or two now with not much interest, been offered a swap just wondered if you could let me know your thoughts at to whether the swap car would be more appealing/easier to sell than mine!!:-

my car :-

2004 SAAB 9-3 1.8i 51k miles FSH, FULL MOT TAX DEC.

swap car
2003 Audi A3 2.0FSI (newer shape) 110kmiles FSH, 8 months MOT 2 months Tax.

both in similar condition.

cheers
Ray

errr, i haven't looked in auto trader as to the relevant prices, but 51k vs 100k?

i'd be playing the waiting game a bit longer.

Have you priced the Saab to sell? often a little drop in the asking price brings a lot mor interest.

yes i think so asking 3k ovno cant see any others with same age and mileage for any less than 3500-4000

paint a picture of nicholas cage with a bird for hair on the side, and see how much interest you get then.

Its August too, not a good time to sell cars....

You want to swap a newer car with less miles for an older one with 110k miles? Are you mental? Audis may hold their money better but i wouldn't be doing that swap anytime soon especially with that many miles on it. You would probably have a hard time selling the A3 on after you have put even more miles on it aswell. Sometimes when you price a car too low people get scared off and think there is something wrong with it.
