Having a clear-out...

I've a couple of damaged Formula Vauxhall Lotus chassis boards (aluminium honeycomb planks). They probably weight about 50kg between them.

Is it worth weighing them in at the scrappies (a 40 mile round trip), or do I just bin it at the local tip (a few miles down the road)?

I've also got two damaged Mag wheels... about 10kg between them.

Strip it of any fittings, alloy and copper are through the roof...

Lead is not as busy for me as it were, but the metal dealers are receiving regular visitors

Which means only one thing...

Ring him for a guesstimate

I would say weigh it in

Last Sierra shell I weighed in got me £57 in July.

The next one might acquire a few bricks on the way there

What about alloy wheels, are they considered 'clean' alloy?
