reading through the posts in the link not all the info is correct for all super 7s. My base is made of sheet steel about 18 guage and no way does it weigh 249lbs and it is a genuine myford base.
Excellent little lathe tho. my dad bought it new in 1980 for £1200 !

The stand is about 50 lbs and was a fair lift....

Nice lathe......but how can they say "poss not used"?......with the worn paint looks definitely used...(or I am confused about which one we are talking about?)
