This afternoon my mums Fiesta 1.3 (52 plate) developed rough running. It sounded like it was running on 3 cylinders. I`ve used my spark plug analysers on all 4 plugs and there is no spark on cyclinder 1. I`ve swapped over analysers and re-tested again with the same result. I`ve also tried a new HT lead but it`s always cylinder 1 with no spark.
I`m guessing the coil is breaking down?
Anyone else think the same?

Agree with your diagnosis doctor, I would replace the coil pack first. My thinking would be if it was the trigger signal a pair would be down.

I changed the coil today and it`s now firing on all four and back to normal. Another job jobbed!
