has this book been released yet? does anyone have any plans for one?
cheers
Barry
From what I have seen on the haynes forum been put back until next year something to do with haynes's issue releases - as they only do it twice a
year.
But I can not wait for the book either
If you could not wait then there is always the terrapin route, but unsure about making it road legal if that was the route you were going to go.
All that I have read is that that it is using custom uprights, the car in the book has a fireblade engine (unsure what year), chain drive diff (i
think the one in the book is a sierra), but there are apparently plans to make your own. Fiat cinq steering rack.
If you search the haynes forum there is 1 picture.
No firm release date yet.
I seem to remember that the prototype was being IVA'ed sometime soon, and from then on tweaks would be made to the draft of the book before final
printing.
Makes sense to IVA it before the book is printed.
Can't wait for it.
it does look a beast....i reckon with a decent bike lump in the back it will be an awesome sprint car

I seriously recommend deciding on which class and championship you want to run in and build a car to the regs if you want to be competitive. The
unfortunate truth is that unless you spend some serious money on engines / suspension, one of these just isn't going to be competitive :-/
If being competitive doesn't bother you too much then i'm sure it would be excellent fun. You still need to build to the blue book though...

It'll be in the racing car classes, up against OMSs, Jedis, DJs, Forces etc. Even the Gould's are starting to struggle to stay ahead of them!

Too true.
Having said that, I can't imagine the day where a bike powered car gets FTD against an F1 or Indycar pwered car where the course has any sort of straight of any length at all.
Lee Adams got 4th in the top 12 yesterday at Doune so they can mix it, but not so sure about an outright win.

im competing in the locost next year. to be honest i know i dont stand a chance of ever winning a thing as i dont have the budget, but it is an ideal place to push my car to the limits without the worry of loosing my liscence!
