Hi guys
After selling my Locost last month, I have been looking for a new toy and decided to go for my bike test.
My CBT 2 weeks ago was the first time I have ever sat on a bike, followed by my theory test and 2 1/2 days of training I feel I am ready for my module
1 test which I have booked for thursday morning, wish me luck!
Shaun
good luck
ride smoooooooth , more so at this time of year.
cheers
andy
ps.. passed my bike test in 1981 so don,t know how the new test system works.
best of luck mate. Big bikes are easier to ride than small ones, sounds strange but its true.
Have a fireblade for sale too if I can tempt u? lol
good luck with everything and be sure to let us know how you get on
Thanks guys. I am taking my tests on a ER500 but I would like a sports bike before christmas so I have something to tinker with over the holidays!
Starting on a 500
I went from a 50 to a 125 , then 350 , 750 , and finally 1100
Passed my test back in `78 , when life was so much simpler
Good luck mate
Just been through this earlier in the year (but did the A2 and took the tests on my CG125)
Now riding my GPZ500 with washers in the inlets...only a year and a half before they can come out..not that I feel I need any more power (yet..lol)
Enjoy it and try and stay relaxed :-)
Regards
Rob

Good luck - just relax and take your time on the Mod 1. If you are unsure just ask the examiner to repeat the instruction. The ER500 isnt a bad bike
to do it on.
Dont forget to wind it open for the swerve and e-stop. Both are quite straightforward. The swerve was what I was most worried about but in reality its
not too bad at all.
Oh and remember to treat it as if it was a road, so shoulder check both shoulders before moving off every time!

I passed on an ER500 last year. Great bike to learn on. Remember the examiner is a biker, and wants to pass you, so long as you're a safe biker.
I'm told its more paperwork to fail you?! I started learning on the Sunday, then passed on the Tuesday. It helps loads if you've been
driving for a while.
Check, check, then check again. And if it all goes Pete Tongue, compose yourself, do all your checks, then proceed.
And as crazy as it sounds, enjoy yourself!
Good luck!
good luck mate,
I just got my licence back with my cat A entitlement
Take it easy, the examiners are all pretty sound. The avoidance is easy just crank it up! I missed the speed on both the fast exercises, but you do
get a second chance. I got a minor for coming to a stop after the swerve with my rear wheel off the floor on the second attempt
You will pass mod 2, just lifesaver and make progress!
Past my test 20 years ago. I had a GPZ 1000 RX waiting for me when I got home from the test centre. The lads had a book on how long I was going to
live - one of them had me down for 2 hours !!! Anyway, I'm still here 20 years later having had 3 Fireblades, an R1 and RSVR Mille. Current bike
'Blade track bike.
Enjoy and good luck
Take extra care now it's cold and icy!
Not only ice patches to worry about, but also the muppets who drive around peering through a letter box scraped in their windscreen!
They'll have trouble seeing a double-decker, a little bike has no chance!
My girlfriend's car is being repaired and they didn't give her a courtesy car so she's went off on the bike to work this morning. Bu
just ahd a text saying she got their ok!
Cheers,
James
