I left the house this morning at 6am with the temperature at -7, the lowest I saw was -10.
During my 2 hour drive I must have seen at least 10 cars broken down, I would say 6 with the bonnets up and steam coming out.
Anybody else seen such lack of anti freeze carnage?
I saw -12.3 on the dash of my wagon heading from Rotherham M18 to ross on wye, and calling at malvern on way back.
If i remember right only the M1, 4 broken down with ppl waiting and 2 overnight abandoments (with police flashy lights and slickers on windows police
aware lol)
M42 saw 1 car
non on the M5 or M50 going down
on the way back, i saw so many (12ish noon) broken down i lost count lol.

I've yet to see any brake downs, Though it's slightly warmer here in the south east and it was 'only' -3 out when I finished work
at 6. Someone had left a Clio opposite the building that was so caked in frost it looked like it had been snowed on. I have seen alot of cars with ice
on the inside of the windscreen.
The worst thing was buying petrol, the pump stuck to my hand.
My Mates sons car wouldn't start this am - suspect faulty starter motor
Drove down to Staines from Huddersfield last night, cars all the way down on the hard shoulder, including a Sprinter being towed by a Micra.
Only cars by the side of the road Ive seen are due to operator inability
I saw four broken cars. All in my garage......
Saw one breakdown on the way in this morning but lots of reports of people binning their cars due to a nice layer of dry fluffy snow on top a good layer of ice, very, very slippery here this morning, coming down hard here at the moment
