I am trying to find out wehat connections should go where on a 300TDi diesel Injector Pump. I have just replaced my Electronic Diesel Control pump
with a normal mechanically controlled one, and am not sure whether I have connected all up correctly. There is a big difference between the two pumps,
and the new one has 3 connections at the rear. My problem is what goes where on the top 2 connections?
The connections in question are as in the picture below:
I know the bottom one is correct, goes off to the number 1 injector leak-off.
I think the top one should go to the turbo (this is the one that uses increased turbo pressure to increase the fuel flow)
I am not sure what should be connected to the middle one, (I have connected the turbo take-off as it has the same size thread but I think that is
wrong).
Changing the pump has cured (I think) the original fault of HUGE amounts of white smoke from the tail pipe (unburnt diesel due to mis-timing by the
ECU), but once I got the engine started, it ran up to max revs and stayed there . I pulled the stop solenoid feed off and thankfully it stopped
after a few seconds (ran out of fuel so thankfully not the turbo feeding the engine on engine oil).
I am now trying to figure out where to go next.
Any advice gratefully received (and no, I'm not getting tid of the Landy )

I'm not familiar with Landys but the top connection should go the inlet manifold or some where that sees boost pressure, it's the pressure
ratio control diaphram to stop the pump over fuelling before the bosst comes up.

The top one is to increase fuelling when the turbo kicks in but can not remember if it's suck or blow
I would also say inlet manifold to.
