I need to be able to crank 180nm on teh hub nut to get it to budge but I don't have a big ole breaker bar, just a 16" i think. Needless to say; it doesn't move it.

So my question is; does anyone have any ideas on how i can get it to undo without buying a big breaker bar? I have the 32mm socket.

I am also in need of 4 new studs, so does anyone know where to get any of the shelf studs? It's not cheap to get studs from a breaker because the hub needs to come off to get them!

Go to a tyre fitting business with your socket and ask them to use an air wrench on it.
They are usually able to do up nuts stupidly tight so I imagine they can do the reverse operation.

They generally aren't that tight --- a bit of scaffold or exhaust tube over the power bar just make sure the staked nut is knocked back before you start and give a little movement in the tightening direction before you try and undo it.

impact wrench is your friend, if you dont have one go to a tyre fitting place with the part and the socket and ask nicely as suggested above.

my question to you though is how do you intend to do it back up? 180nm isnt really that tight tbh.

i recall a couple of weeks ago motor world had some 2ft long draper pro breaker bars on offer for £15 may be worth a look if there is one local as the same bar in halfords is £30

My socket set comes with a bar that's got the socket bit welded on, if you have one of them I'd use it with a bit of other pole (save breaking the ratchet one).

Also I found using my entire pie-and-chips-soaked body makes a lot of nm
(stand on the end of the bar, be careful though I bent a spanner doing it once)
