We broke the steering lock on the sierra recently in all of ten seconds.

what im looking for is a tracker that I could install to find the car if it goes missing.

Some other features would be nice like following where its been to tie up with pictures we take on road trips.

power off the motor would be nice with back up battery. size not to big

TBH Pat, I probably wouldn't want a car back that had been stolen!

The only reason why most get recovered is because they've been thrashed until something has broken and then they're abandoned where the wheels stopped turning!

You'll never be sure when another damaged part is going to reveal itself!

Chris, don't know why but I read that as "I was trying to STEAL some of those exact units a year ago.."

As for recovery, I think I'd still prefer to have a car I built myself back, even if it was damaged etc.

For the above reason I,ve fitted an isolator switch into my electrics like most do, so if the thieving scumbags get past the standard ignition switch/steering lock AND the isolator switch I,ve got another security measure built into the car , a fuel tap, so hopefully if the car is stolen/started it,ll only go a couple of hundred yards with the fuel thats in the carb & fuel lines,

Tho the above won,t help me if its taken on a trailer like a "Tracker" would .

cheers

Quality anti theft measures are more worth than tracker....
