Ebay problem buyer
antimony - 31/1/11 at 11:05 PM

Hi folks.
A few days ago I sold the wifes car on ebay. I've had no contact from the buyer despite repeated emails and invoices. I also see that on the same day he bid on, and won, auctions for 2 other similar sized / priced cars. I'm guessing he doesn't want to communicate with me!
Would it be petty of me to get his attention by winning the auction for his transit van?
Whadythink?

Is it worth winding him up just to get a non-paying strike against your name for the pleasure?

I wouldn't

Just file a non paying bidder report, re-list it and move on. he will get banned if he does it too much.

This happened to my brother, sold a car on Ebay and didn't hear from the buyer for a couple of days. Turned out he was a dealer and just busy. He pitched up a couple of days later and paid the cash, no problem. Don't forget some folks barely access their email, do yo have a phone number for him?

If you're going to bid on his transit, set up a dummy ebay id, with some non descript hotmail email etc. behind it.....

But let us all have some fun 1st......
