We've had a couple of V70 D5s and they are wonderful cars. Much nicer place to be than a BMW! Look out for injector problems on the 165bhp (Euro 3) ones as they can start to cause issues if run on supermarket fuel all their life (thats what we were told about ours anyway). 17" wheels buckle easily for some reason too.

Pick of the bunch are the later 185bhp 6spd geartronic ones if you can find one, excellent combination!

Boss used to have a 170bhp saloon (maybe the 165 quoted here is what it really was).

Great car to drive, very easy and relaxing. The large sports wheels meant a limited turning circle - i kept having to do 3 point turns in multi story car parks. Boss reckoned no matter how he drove it he got 45mpg. Decided to save company tax and got a 406, regretted it. Not as nice comparatively to drive mega distance, everything felt cheaper and he only managed 40ish mpg.

One is FWD the other is the correct configuration and is RWD. Easy decision go RWD!
